Artist's Statement

Through photography, I seek to bring to life what is normally not seen, to find beauty in the ordinary and to present everyday objects in unexpected ways. The galleries on this web site reflect this approach. In Tick Tock we find beauty in abandoned buildings. In Road Art we see whimsical designs arising from ordinary road work. Broken Dreams provides us with a brief glimpse of invisible people and invisible lives. Graffiti Evolution encourages us to see the paint that covers up graffiti as something to be observed in its own right. Mostly Monochrome continues this exploration in a mostly monochromatic way and Digital Art takes what is and creates something new. The poetry I include in Poetry Corner addresses many of these same themes.

When I am working I am energized. This benefit is expanded if what I produce raises your awareness and moves you to see your surroundings a little differently than before.
